Ghost Island Farm

About our co-op

Ghost Island Farm Stand

After over two decades of experience running a large farming operation and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), Rusty has designed a new program combining a traditional CSA with a co-op. Like a CSA program, members will pay up front for the upcoming season. This way the farm has funds early in the season to cover operating costs and we are able to buy all of our seeds, potting soil, and fertilizers for the year. In addition to Ghost Island Farm produce and Nip'n'Tuck meat, the co-op will bring in other products like island made breads, honey, jams, cheese, organic fruit, eggs and more. The co-op will also supply organic and local substitutions for certain crops when we are between harvests.

Members have accounts at the farm stand and can come in at anytime during business hours to shop for whatever they need. At checkout, the total is deducted from the member's account. On top of our regular low prices, members get a ten percent discount on anything in the store at any time. The Ghost Island Farm Co-op offers members all the benefits of being part of a local farm and also a very pleasant and convenient shopping experience. Members can feel the satisfaction of supporting local sustainable agriculture and eating fresh produce right out of the field. Co-op members can pick their own flowers for free and are welcome to help with farm tasks such as planting seedlings, harvesting, weeding, or helping out in the stand. Any level of involvement will be greatly appreciated and together we will assure that this co-op thrives

We are now accepting memberships for the 2015 season.
