Ghost Island Farm Co-op Questions

How will the Co-op work?

Before the start of the 2015 season, members will buy $250.00 or $500.00 in store credit. This credit will be available for members to use at any time during farm stand hours and for anything in the store during the 2015 season.

How will this co-op differ from a CSA?

While you are still paying up front to help the farm, you can have the freedom to choose exactly what you want and when you want it. There are no scheduled pick up days, you can come in anytime the stand is open. You choose what you get from a wide selection of farm produce, meat, eggs, local products, etc., never too much of one specific crop and not enough of others.

Why should I join the Co-op?

By joining the co-op you are supporting our farm and all of our friends and neighbors who's products are on our shelves. As a member, you will get an additional 10 % discount on anything in the store at any time on top of our already low prices. You will also get first "pick" of specialty crops like our unsprayed corn. Members can also pick their own flowers for free.

When will you be open?

In 2015 we will be open everyday from 10am to 6pm from the beginning of May through December.

Is Ghost Island Farm organic?

We are not certified organic. We use all organic potting soil and organic fertilizer and we do not spray our crops with anything. Read about our growing methods here. Growing Methods

Where do we pick up?

Our farm and farm stand is on Fred Fisher’s Nip 'n' Tuck Farm off of State Road in West Tisbury. Pick ups will not be offered at The Farmers Market or anywhere other than our farm stand.

Do members need to get involved?

While it is not mandatory, we would very much like you to be involved. Whether it is helping other members at the register, stocking a shelf or weeding in the field your help will be greatly appreciated and together we can assure that our co-op thrives.
